Cafe Bellie is a bellydance open stage and benefit for The Women's Daytime Drop-In Center of Berkeley.
Cafe Bellie provides a professional venue for new and innovative works, offers area teachers an intimate performance setting for their students, and creates a space for bellydancers of all styles to meet and exchange ideas and inspiration. In addition to performers, each event offers a FREE bellydance class, boutique vending, and a raffle (your show ticket automatically enters you to win a prize!)
Proceeds go to benefit the Women's Daytime Drop-In Center of Berkeley who address the needs of homeless women and children to ensure that they have a safe daytime refuge where they receive support, nourishing meals, and access to community resources to overcome homelessness and regain self sufficiency.
Since it's beginning, Cafe Bellie and the Bay Area bellydance community have raised over $10,000 for homeless women and children in the East Bay.
