Reminder: Ashkenaz is Temporarily Closed to the Public

Ashkenaz temporarily closed its doors as result of the pandemic and currently (as of February 5, 2022) we are completing some long-planned and substantial construction work on our landmark building. We promise to be back soon — hopefully sometime in early Spring 2022 — with great music and dancing from around the world. In the meantime, we remain very busy “behind the scenes”, making sure that everything is better than ever when we open our doors for music and dancing again. Please be patient, please be safe, and please get vaccinated so we can move as quickly as possible past the pandemic and into the future without any more unnecessary suffering.

As always, your donations are incredibly important to us, particularly now as we gear up for re-opening. Remember also that Ashkenaz is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization (EIN 94-3268992). This means that your donations are tax-deductible (to the extent allowed by law).

THANK YOU FOR YOUR GENEROSITY AND PATIENCE! WE LOVE YOU ALL!

With the deepest gratitude, Ashkenaz acknowledges the funding and assistance provided by the William & Flora Hewlett Foundation; the Hardly Strictly Music Relief Fund: Bay Area (Hellman Foundation); The Live Music Society; Alameda County ArtsFund; the Berkeley Civic Arts Fund; and Californians for the Arts. Ashkenaz additionally thanks the City of Berkeley and Alameda County for their continued and long-standing support!
