BandWorks, founded in 1993, takes musicians of all ages and skill levels and matches them with peers to form bands. Many of these bands stay together for years, some write originals! BandWorks holds two important events at Ashkenaz each year. First in December they hold their annual Awards Show which features incredible music and a great community vibe. Normally the place is packed! In July they have a show that features many of their groups that are working toward the coming season. Last year it was a 25th anniversary celebration. This year BandWorks will showcase 4 of their best young original bands and celebrate the release of their first all-original compilation. Don’t miss out! Proceeds got to the BandWorks Scholarship Fund.
