Singer and multi-instrumentalist Rahan Boxley hosts an evening of fresh dance music that ranges from traditional Congolese to American R&B, reggae, house, funk, capoeira, and Afro stylings.
Rahan Boxley, born in Cleveland, Ohio, now based in the San Francisco, Bay Area of California, is a multidisciplinary artist, percussionist, capoeirista and visual artist that sings and dances, breathing life into space. A performer since the age of 4 years old, Rahan has shared the stage with legendary folk artist Joan Baez, Brazilian master percussionist Gabi Guedes, and Hip Hop group Jurrasic Five to name a few. With performances that have spanned Canada, the US, and Brazil, Rahan brings a fresh energy, influenced by traditional and Soukous Congolese music, roots reggae, Afro-Brazilian samba, R&B and deep house music. When showcasing his talents live, Rahan serves a unique contemporary Afro-World fusion entree, layered with one of a kind soul-cadence for you to partake in.
