American Ceilidh: Alan Kline

In the front studio from 2:00 pm - 5:00 pm

$10 or pay what you can

It's at a different time, but the Anglo-Celtic Ceilidh continues at Ashkenaz! Ceilidh means gathering in Gaelic and moving forward the Ashkenaz Celidh is even more about gathering than ever. We welcome everyone to join us in an inclusive folk dance community where everyone dances together while celebrating individual expression, identity, and consent. We enjoy dances from a multitude of styles including Irish Ceili, Contra, Scottish Ceilidh, English County Dance & couple dances such as waltz. Every group dance is taught before its danced and called by members of our community using the role terms larks and ravens. Our dances are easy enough for beginners to do and fun for everyone to jump in. We're excited to share an afternoon of dancing with you, plus after we'll be headed to a nearby restaurant for dinner and socializing.
